With the release of the Series 3, Apple released a set of new Nylon/Velcro Sport Loops which are the most comfortable Apple Watch bands released to date. Unfortunately, these new Sport Loops are only bundled in with the Cellular Apple watch so that means if you get a normal Series 3, Series 2, or Series 1 you will have to shell out a little over $50 for one band which is insane.

I’d been waiting for a fake/copy to pop up on Amazon and it finally did! It’s called the Qifit New Nylon Sport Loop with Hook and Loop Fastener and it comes in all of Apple’s original colors which I couldn’t believe so I purchased a pink and a black one to see how close they come to Apple’s version. Basically, it’s the exact same thing but for $16. The colors are exactly the same but more importantly, the way the velcro is laid out and how the band feels is also exactly the same! This is the first band I’ve bought on Amazon that actually looks like an Apple product without branding.

If you have been wanting a sport loop then you can confidently buy these knowing you are getting the same thing as Apple but without the hefty price tag. It’s ideal for working out and sleeping but I bought mine mainly for sleeping since it makes the watch so much more comfortable than any other band. You can get one here on Amazon. Just as a tip, the black one is like the one I am wearing in the picture and isn’t completely black (just how Apple’s is), I believe dark olive is more of a darker gray/black.

Leaked Photo of the Apple’s Upcoming iPad 5 Back Plate?

9To5Mac has gotten their hands on an image which shows the back plate for the next generation iPad. The image is said to come from a purported China-based accessory maker and based on past experiences with leaked parts this is most likely what the next iPad will look like.

While we cannot confirm that the above image is legitimate, it does provide a solid representation of what Apple’s next iPad will likely look like. We were told this is a prototype back piece for the fifth-generation iPad with a 9.7-inch display. We were also told that the casing is almost as thin as the iPad mini’s back (pictured to the right). As you can see at the top of the purported iPad 5 backplate, this casing would likely be for an LTE model – as the black antenna cut implies…

The iPad 5 casing looks nearly identical to that of the iPad Mini so there isn’t anything too exciting, check out the image below…

iPad Mini Review – Is it worth it? [Video]

Apple has now entered an awkward market with the iPad Mini where most consumers it will see the Mini as an overpriced tablet compared to most 7-inch tablets out there and others will see it as a cheaper alternative to an iPad. The iPad Mini is a great device, it’s solid, well built, and it is the perfect size for a small tablet. The iPad Mini has a 7.9-inch display which might not sound all that different from a 7-inch display, but it makes a huge difference when playing games, browsing the web, and it improves the overall experience of using the tablet. While the iPad Mini might sound perfect, its not and it actually has its drawbacks. For $329 plus tax, today, you can get one for yourself, but is it worth the price tag? Check out the video below for a full review of the iPad Mini.

If you have any questions about the iPad Mini, feel free to contact us here.

iPad Mini and iPad 4 Display’s Compared Under A Microscope

The folks over at RepairLabs have taken a microscope and compared the iPad 4’s retina display against the iPad Mini’s display. While some people might not care or even notice how different the two screens look in real life, I can personally tell you that there is a significant difference between the two. The screen on the iPad Mini makes it feel cheap a behind most tablets in the market today. The screen on the Nexus 7 is far better and you can get one for over $120 less than the iPad Mini. If you are planning on getting an iPad Mini and have used a device with a retina display then I highly recommend you use one before purchasing it. Check out the comparison pictures below

Apple Takes Fall in Tablet Market Share, Stunning iPad Mini Renders Give Consumers Something To Look Forward To

While Apple hasn’t officially said anything about a smaller version of the iPad, it has been bound to happen for some time now. According to recent polls, the Apple iPad has 52% of the tablet market share with Android having the other 48%. While the iPad is still ahead, its market share has had a huge fall since 2011 when it had 81%. With the holiday season just around the corner Apple has to step up their game and give consumers a reason to get their family members an iPad Mini instead of the Nexus 7 or Kindle Fire HD.

Recently, Gizmodo posted some great renders of the alleged iPad Mini which is said to be announced later this month. We can be somewhat sure that the smaller iPad will look something like this since the iPhone 5’s official design was leaked months before its announcement.  Check out the renders below…

It would be a nice surprise for the rumored imminent presentation of the new 7.85-inch model: iPad Minis with anodized aluminum backs in different colors, just like the iPod touch. It’s pure speculation, but it kind of makes sense. The color backs would make the cheaper iPad mini quite different from the Kindle Fires and the rest of mini-tablets of this world. It’s playful and aligns with the iPod touch theme. And it would certainly help Apple sell gazillions of them this holiday season. -Jesus Diaz of Gizmodo
