LEAP Gets Us Closer To A Touchless World

Leap Motion is a motion control startup which is aiming to take on Microsoft’s Kinect with its ability to track motion at around o.o1 accuracy which is 100 times more accurate than Kinect. At about the size of an iPod, Leap Motion creates a personal 3D workspace of about 4 cubic feet and will be compatible with Mac OS X or Windows. Leap Motion released a video which demonstrates its capabilities but as compromising as it looks we need to take into account that system is set to launch early next year and the company does not really provide too much information on how their device works. Whether you are skeptical of this or not, Leap has the device available for US only pre-order on their website right now for $69.99.
