How To Get The iPhone 5 Cheaper and Faster Than Everyone Else At Walmart
0The Apple Online Store has been taken offline to prepare for iPhone 5 pre-orders, which are set to begin at 12:01 AM PT. If you aren’t in such a hurry and have some spare up there is a slight chance that you could get the iPhone 5 for a slightly cheaper price and sooner than some people.
Walmart said it will be taking pre-orders for the iPhone 5 at 8AM local time on September 14th in their stores.
Bloomberg reported the following earlier today:
Wal-Mart Stores Inc., the world’s largest retailer, will take pre-orders for the new Apple Inc. iPhone for the first time and offer discounts on the device.
The iPhone 5, announced yesterday, can be ordered tomorrow at 8 a.m. at U.S. stores [...] The newest version of the best-selling smartphone will sell for $189.97 with a two-year contract, Spencer said. That’s cheaper than the $199 price announced by Apple, which will also begin taking orders tomorrow.
This means you can save $9 which isn’t too bad but you do risk the chance that your local Walmart might run out of pre-orders by the time you get there. How can you get it faster? Well, when Apple released the iPad some people were able to go to local 24-hour Walmart’s and get their devices at midnight instead of waiting until the Apple store opened. There is a high chance that your local Walmart won’t do it but it’s always worth calling or giving it a shot unless you prefer to just reserve your iPhone now which in that case it shouldn’t be to long until you can.
