Last year was the first time that I left my iPhone for more than a month and switch to Android. I used the Galaxy S7 for around 5 Months until the iPhone 7 came out. I've always liked Android but until a couple years ago it just wasn't as good as iOS and when I say good I mean the apps available on the OS were not as good as those on iOS.
I believe 2017 is the first year that it doesn't really matter what phone you choose because all of them are going to be pretty much the same. The iPhone 8 will look and function very similarly to the Galaxy S8 and both devices have lots of features which end up accomplishing the same thing. I sold my iPhone 7 a couple of weeks ago in preparation for the Galaxy S8 because it is the best smartphone ever made. The combination of materials, features, software, and design of the phone make it the most comfortable smartphone I have held and it sports the most beautiful screen I have seen. The iPhone 8 will most like match all this but we are still months away from an announcement this means it's currently Samsung's turn to shine.
I ended up purchasing the Silver since I have had a black phone for the past couple of years and Samsung has given all the S8 colors black fronts which is perfect. If you have yet to see one in person, I highly reccomend going to a store and checking it out. This is what phones will look like for the next couple of years until the foldable displays become more affordable. I’ll be making some videos on the S8 this coming weekend so stay tuned for those!

Around a week ago Tesla pushed out an update to Model S owners which enabled the car to drive itself. The car is able to move forward, read speed limit signs, brake, and even change lanes. There are still many functions that requires the drivers attention but this is definitely a step in the right dirrection towards fully autonomous vehicles.
The YouTube channel DragTimes has a 16 minute video showing of the Tesla Model S in its full glory. It should give you an idea of how the autopilot works and why everyone is talking about it.
Tesla just revealed the final production model of the Model X. The Model X has “falcon-wing” doors and is capable of going 0 to 60 miles per hour as fast as a Porsche 911 Turbo. You can currently reserve a Model X for $5,000, new reservations are expected to ship in the latter half of 2016.

Here is an excerpt from Wikipedia with some more details on the movie:
Captain America: Civil War is an upcoming American superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Captain America, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is intended to be the sequel to 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger and 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and the thirteenth installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, with a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, and features an ensemble cast that includes Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Emily VanCamp, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Frank Grillo, Daniel Brühl, and William Hurt. In Captain America: Civil War, Captain America and the Avengers continue to protect the world, but the team becomes divided after extensive collateral damage prompts politicians to pass an act regulating superhuman activity.
It’s been nearly four years since Nike released the Air Mag which had no powered laces and were sold at auction for charity. As you probably know, today is the day that Marty McFly goes back to the future and puts on the sneakers in Back to the Future II.
The new Nike Air Mags look just like the shoes released in 2011 but not have a hidden mechanism that will tighten the laces once you insert your feet. The shoes will also have an option to do this manually just in case the battery dies out. Unfortunately the shoes don’t tighten themselves as smoothly nor as quickly as they do in the movie but it’s a step in the right direction.
These shoes will also be sold at auction in Spring 2016 and all proceeds will go to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s disease. We still don’t know how much they might cost but odds are that they will go from anywhere around $5,000 to $15,000 or even higher. The original auction raised $4.7 Million towards parkinson’s research and this should be no different. Hopefully this sparks more interest in the shoes and leads Nike to release a full consumer version of that shoe or just a shoe with powered laces.
Last month Apple announced a new Apple TV which sports a new A8 processor, touch controller, and an overhauled user interface. Here is a recap of what’s new on the Apple TV just in case you missed it last month:
Yesterday at a WSJ Live Event, Tim Cook noted that Apple will begin taking orders for the Apple TV on Monday and will ship later that week so get ready to spend $150 for 32GB model or $200 for the 64GB model!
Apple has finally released a new Wireless Keyboard, Mouse, and Trackpad. All of these devices connect via bluetooth and come with an intergrated rechargeable battery that is re-charged via the included lightning cable.
The Magic Keyboard combines a sleek new design with a built-in rechargeable battery and enhanced key features. With an improved scissor mechanism beneath each key for increased stability, as well as optimized key travel and a lower profile, the Magic Keyboard provides a remarkably comfortable and precise typing experience. It pairs automatically with your Mac, so you can get to work right away. And the battery is incredibly long-lasting — it will power your keyboard for about a month or more between charges.
Featuring a new design, Magic Mouse 2 is completely rechargeable, so you’ll eliminate the use of traditional batteries. It’s lighter, has fewer moving parts thanks to its built-in battery and continuous bottom shell, and has an optimized foot design — all helping Magic Mouse 2 track easier and move with less resistance across your desk. And the Multi-Touch surface allows you to perform simple gestures such as swiping between web pages and scrolling through documents. Magic Mouse 2 is ready to go right out of the box and pairs automatically with your Mac.
Redesigned and rechargeable, Magic Trackpad 2 includes a built-in battery and brings Force Touch to the desktop for the first time. Four force sensors underneath the trackpad surface allow you to click anywhere, and detect subtle differences in the amount of pressure you apply, bringing increased functionality to your fingertips and enabling a deeper connection to your content. Magic Trackpad 2 also features an edge-to-edge glass surface area that is nearly 30 percent larger than the previous trackpad. This design, along with a lower profile, makes scrolling and swiping through your favorite content more productive and comfortable than ever.
All of these devices are available today from Apple’s Online Store. The Magic Keyboard retails for $99. The Magic Mouse 2 retails for $79. Lastly, the Magic Trackpad 2 retails for $129 thus making it much more expensive than the previous generation.
